Lauren - I don't think now is a good time for you to think about getting a snake. You are still learning to be responsible about looking after your kitten. What would you do if you forgot to feed your snake and he got out and went after your kitten? Maybe do a LOT of research and reading about snakes and their habits before thinking about getting one. That would be a great start.
