I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time, Beaglelover2010. I think most of us here have faced similar situations and can relate.

that he's improved by tomorrow and you get more time with him.

You know your dog best--only you can tell if it's time to let him go. Ask yourself, is he still happy to see you. Does he have some quality of life? Does he still relish his food? Do the good times outweight the bad?

If I find that I'm putting off the decision for my sake, not in the best interest of my dog, then I know it's time. All I can say is to listen to your heart and your head, and act accordingly. I always get to the point where I know it's time, but not everyone does. You just do the best you can and as long as you make your decision out of love for your dog, you can't go wrong.
