The vet should at least give you a 'follow-up' rate on the fee rather than a full office visit charge.
But sugarcatmom might be right - the toe might stick up permanently. My mom's rotti caught her foot in a pipe when she was young, it fractured one of her toes, and that toe stuck up for the rest of her life. It never caused her any problems, although I think she would stub it once in a while jumping onto the couch or the bed.
