It's getting there, but he keeps licking his nose....he has a REALLy rough tongue, even for a cat, so that is irritating it some.

I sat down on the floor with him a few minutes ago and took the cone off....wanted to give him a few supervised minutes to give himself a bath. And he goes straight for his paw and starts gnawing on it!!!!! I stopped him right away before he could do any damage, but clearly this is going to take a while...

Has anyone heard of that mental disorder where people desperately want to lose a limb(s)???? I swear that's what this cat is trying to do to his paw!
