The only good thing about it is that there's a good chance your warranty might cover it. I've had hardware fail in two months--a hard drive in a brand new Dell. Sigh...of course, since it was brand new, I hadn't been as diligent about backing up as I should have been
But the warranty covered the replacement parts and labor.
