Does your cat have any other concurrent symptoms, like nasal discharge or sneezing? What type of litter do you use? What kind of food does he eat? There could be a few causes for the watery eye, like a blocked tear duct, allergies (food or environmental), or a URI. Some things you can try:
  • adding 250-500mg of L-lysine powder to his food (in case the herpes virus is responsible)
  • changing the litter (especially if it's scented or very dusty, like clay)
  • eliminating all scented cleaning products and laundry detergents
  • feeding a quality grain-free wet food, no kibble
  • warm eye compresses with colloidal silver and/or eyebright
