I do the same depending on the season. The two Bassets gets fed more or less the same. Cocoa less, a) because she is a smaller dog, bodywise and b) she is now elderly. I've found that since going grain free, Skippy actually has a waist. As far as treats, I only give two dog treats after we have finished supper, the rest of the time carrots or apple.
