PIERS ANTHONY!! the first 15-20 or so Xanth books were really fun!

Canadian author Charles De Lint, he is an excellent writer, fantasy, alot of it situated in the Ottawa area, some of them deal with gypysies, worlds on the "other side" great read. pbp
