There's no point in culturing a stool while your cat Rocky is on antibiotics as this can produce a 'false negative'
Wait until 7days past the use of ANY antibiotic or antifungal/antiparasitic or whatever he is given before doing the stool culture.
Metronidazole is flagyl and commonly can also cause horrible gi upset to let you know. It's a broader spectrum that will not treat specific organisms.
