My dog is getting spots also.
She is 3 years old and has alot of dark spots on her now.
When she was younger she didn't have any. She got 2 on her sides first and they grew very large. Then the hair there turned tan. (She is white.)]
Then she lost some hair at the base of her tail, the spot turned dark, then the hair grew tan. When I cut her hair, she has more dark spots every time.
I think it is very normal. The vet said it is just her pigmentation.
