Hi end user - We are going back about 10 years but 10 years ago my mom's cat needed a (whole leg) leg amputation for the same reason as you, and at that time it was 550. at the emergency animal hospital in Montreal.
Given that it's been a decade, 869. seems reasonable to me. 4000. seems outrageous for this type of surgery imo.
