Meet Lily, a 6 year old, 10 lb Rat Terrier who needs a new home.
Lily was always thought to be a chihuahua (an ugly one at that), but when viewed by a pro, it was determined that she is a Rat Terrier.
If you read up on the breed, you will find that Ratties are one of the most affectionate dogs you can have. They LOVE their humans to the point where they almost try to crawl up inside you (lol). This lovely gal wants nothing more than to cuddle, give kisses, and sleep under the blankets with her human. Fiercely loyal, Ratties sometimes have to learn the share their human with another animal.
Lily was brought up with a chihuahua and gets along fine with her foster siblings (chihuahua & bichon maltais). She is house-trained and will use pee-pads if left alone for too long a period of time. Lily loves her walks and will play fetch for hours.
Lily would make a wonderful pet for an active family (but no young children who might pull at her, as she is very sensitive to touch). No cats please, as Ratties have a strong small animal prey drive, which is what they were bred for.
If you or anyone you know is interested in this feisty, loving little girl, contact me. Adoption fee is $250. Lily is spayed and will be up-to-date on her shots before being placed.
