Of the three, I've never tried orchids cuz I'd hate to kill anything so beautiful and delicate, roses die the minute I get my moldy fingers on them
--but irises will miraculously bloom for me!! About the only cultivated plants I have any luck with are daylilies and irises.
The natives do really well here, though!
Glad to hear your arm isn't broken!! Hope the tendons/ligaments heal quickly.
And the knee doesn't need replacing
