pretty--they have irridescent heads.
But they also can have nasty characters--plus they're feeder hogs if they come in large numbers.
Still, I never begrudge a grackle a meal--especially since they come so infrequently here, and usually only one at a time.
The little brown birds are house sparrows. The one with the black chin is the male. The plainer one is the female.
