We should see the parents try to shew them away around middle of August / into September. I guess it depends on wether they try to migrate or just hand around looking for their own nest....thats one of the big things with banding...when they are spotted elsewhere we can see where they go and where they nest.
Once they are gone though there is no going back to the nest. That would mean a territorial battle and that cant be good for them.
I am so lucky that madame X and Surge are what they call Urban Peregrines as they dont migrate and they hang out here pretty much all year round. They never really hang out too much on the nest ledge once the young are gone. They seem to have their own spots around the downtown core where they hang out.
