SIA, I at least knew you weren't, and nor was I. I also believe that if your dog really trusts you you should be able to put it in any position you feel like without it worrying, and I find my vet appreciates that. Even my cattle dogs, who do get groomed standing, will drop and allow me to roll them over for him. The girls used to have to roll over so I could see easily whether they were in season, but one smart cookie, a very fast and agile cattle dog, put the two lessons together in her mind and when I said "Drop!", she would do a complete somersault and land on her back. LOL. I wondered what the heck she was doing until I figured that one out. It was very hard to keep up with her antics.
