Thanks so much for the links, especially the dogfoodproject.com. I hadn't paid much attention to dog food news since my dog died last fall. I had no idea Canidae had been causing so many problems.

Candiae is what I am currently feeding my beagle. It would simplify things to feed them both the same thing but only as long as its something that will work for the both of them.

I am going to be getting my friend's dog sometime in the next couple months. He is a lab/plott hound mix and is right around a year old. He has not had good nutrition at any point in his life, imo....

I haven't tried pork yet, but I don't really anticipate any problems since she hasn't had any so far. She has had the NV lamb and the chicken & turkey so far.Thanks for the suggestions!
