Mary,
I know there is a lot of debate about shock collars and whatnot, personally I think they're inhumane, but so is letting your dog run wild to kill all the nearby wildlife and beloved family...

I feed my dog 2 cups of dry food in the morning after I take her out, and 2 in the evening while at work. She usually pukes up her breakfast on the way to work...but seems to be able to keep it down...
