Congrats on the new pup. Roundworms are to be expected in almost any puppy, especially one picked up for "free" in front of WalMart. If treated, they are not a big deal at all.

Ignore the woodshavings on my kitchen floor. They are from the doghouses that my dogs are not outside often enough to use--but they love to dig all their bedding out and track it inside!
