Vet did a thorough blood test on him, everything came back clean - except for the vet tech that got expressed on when she stuck him with the needle. He's otherwise very healthy.

I don't grind anything for him, he gets his meals whole, gives him something to chew on. And at least that way we know what he likes or doesn't like. He doesn't like beef liver but loves the chicken...

I'd try a higher quality food. Pure pumpkin puree can help as well with digestive issues.
