I understand the messages you are trying to convey, I guess what my point was/is that there are ways to educate without ostracizing someone because perhaps their choice or their actions don't match...

I loved it too! I did not see the whole series unfortunately, but discovered Carnivale in exactly the same way (by renting the series) and was blown away by it. One of the best HBO series I've seen....
