Anal Glands

I have a 3yr Old Std Poodle. His anal glands have to be expressed internally. At the present time we must have his glands done monthly. I am a retired groomer and breeder and have been doing glands externally for 30years. Can anyone give me detailed info. on how to do the glands myself??? Or will food make a difference? I feed him "GO"

I would change the food. It's not normal for the glands to need to be expressed that often.
