My dog licks everything! Help

We have a 3 year old standard poodle. Gorgeous boy that we have had from a pup. The problem is that he has a licking problem. Licks furniture, people, bedding, his bed... He goes to the vet regularly and his teeth are in great shape (they have been recently cleaned). Does anyone have ideas. This is driving us crazy! It seems that it is an affection thing but he does it to his own bed at night for at least 15 minutes. No kidding.

My poodle mix dog does this too. I am not sure why Marty does it but I know what you mean , it can be frustrating . My standard poodle did not do this at all.

It sounds more like an OCD thing than an affection thing. Here is a really good article on obsessive compulsive disorders in dogs: http://www.whole-dog-journal.com/issues/13_9/features/Dogs-With-OCD_20062-1.html
