Can anyone recommend a good vet in Ottawa (as close to Orleans as possible)?

I'm new to Ottawa and have been very unhappy with my current vet in Ottawa who has proved to be insensitive, lacking in any bedside manner and one who managed to make my cat's serious infection (fortunately she is recovering) even more stressful for us.

Can anyone recommend a really good vet in Ottawa for us? We live in Orleans but would be willing to go further towards downtown if necessary. My dog suffered a stroke two years ago and as she approaches her senior years, deserves to be looked after by a caring and competent professional who is not just in it for the money.

Side question: Do vets get a referral fee from Alta Vista hospital, does anyone know?

Great forum, many thanks.
