scrap page of me...plz don't laff....
 

Ok so I did a scrapbook page of me, with a pic taken at Cascade Gardens in Banff, one of my favorite places on Earth.
Forgive my helmet hair.....I had flat ironed it that morning but it rained in Banff that day and my hair went...'poof'....

I've tried scrapbooking and I just don't have the right creative juices :shrug: How do you find all the right embellishments? Every time I go to the scrapbooking store, I find myself standing slack-jawed in front of the papers and embellishments, unable to make a decision! :o

i'm with you hazel can't do it for the life of me..my sister has computer programs that will cut patterns out on paper and stuff to make 3d cards, me:eek:

I wasn't sure about the teal colored branch, but I like the way it turned out.

I got the embellishments for this page a Walmart, they actually have some fairly nice stuff....if ya can find it in stock that is.

I always like to look for the sparkly stuff. :D But you know guys, you can also buy little kits, that bring all the stuff you need. :D

Did you get the hummingbird silhouette at Wal*Mart? :eek: I was looking for hummer motif last summer and there wasn't any at the big scrapbooking places...maybe I need to check out Wal*Mart!

Yep everything on that page with the exception of the frame around the pic and the tag all came in one pkg, I paid 5.50 for it. Sometimes Walmart has some good stuff to choose from, and sometimes they don't.

I actually bought a mini srap book that is 8x8?, but have no idea what to do now.
I guess I could use it to store cards,or pictures.

Everytime I look at that pic I remember that scene from Steel Magnolia's, where Sally Field looks in her compact mirror and cries "Darby (?) was right my head does look like a helmet!".....(one of the very few chick flicks I liked).

My hair is in the same inverted bob style as it was then, just much shorter, which apparently makes me look "boyish", as someone posted :laughing: when I posted pics of Kato nugglin' with me on the loveseat while I napped.
