Question:
My male cat sprayed on the sofa. He is neutered but it still smells. How do I get rid of the smell? Answer: There are two aspects to this problem: First, the cat. A cat that urinates on a sofa with urine having a bad smell is showing possible signs of a bladder infection. He should be examined by a vet if he does it again. Second, the sofa can be cleaned with a solution of baking soda, or using tissues and a carpet spray sold in grocery stores. Bleach
I have a Tom that has sprayed both on the sofa and the carpet and after many attempts to clean this, I found that the only thing that gets the smell out is bleach diluted with water. Spray it on the area, then spray the same area with clean water and use a shop-vac or bissle to suction out the water.

There is a Tom in the neighbourhoood that sprays all over my front door
I use straight white vinegar in a spray bottle, this seems to do the trick. |
