Lost Himalayan Cat Near Willowside Equestrian Estates, Okotoks, AB
 

Our beloved Gryphon went missing on Canada Day. We really miss him. We believe the fireworks and the thunder and lightning scared him and he ran so far from home that he got lost and couldn't find his way back. Gryphon is a 4 year old male with light lue eyes. He is a seal point Himalayan with a pushed in face. He is a very cute cat so we also think that he could have been catnapped. The strange part is that Gryphon is very scared of people he doesn't know. He is also allergic to regular cat food and therefore can only eat hypoallergenic cat food that you get from a vet. He also may be with a grey and black cat who usually howls but we haven't heard him since Gryphon vanished? There is a REWARD of $200 dollars for Gryphon.

Gryphon who is a seal point himalayan went missing during the thunder and lightning storm on Canada day. He has light blue eyes and he is really cute. He is allergic to REGULAR CAT FOOD which is why we need him back or else he may die. :frustrated: he was last seen in Willowside Equestrian Estates. We think he may be with a grey and black cat stray who lives near by.

If you can put his litterbox and/or a worn but unwashed t shirt or pair of smelly shoes of yours out on the deck this may help lead him home

Go around the neighbourhood at dusk/dawn calling him, rattling a treat container or tap a spoon on his dish or tin of food. Bring a flashlight to pick up the shine off his eyes from under cars/decks/bushes or up trees.

If you can poster the neighbourhood, plus leave one w/ local businesses, schools, pet supply stores, grocery stores, bus stops, vets & all animal shelters in the area that will help garner attention that this kitty has a home who wants him back

Please visit the animal shelters in person often times the shelters are understaffed/over worked with so many animals/requests etc they may not have the time to personally look into each phone call or an emergency/something comes up in the meantime & the request gets overlooked.

Going in person means you can visit & identify the cat right away, if an animal comes in terrified it may act out of character & be labeled as sick or a feral and not be placed with the general population please ask to see these areas as well.
