Turkish Van cat lover/Golden Retriever lover

Most people who like cats have never heard of a Turkish Van. I would love to hear from anyone who also owns a cat of this breed.

I, too, love Golden Retievers! My Dakota is two, now, but not long ago I lost one to cancer? Anyone else out there with a golden who has endured loss with cancer I would like to know your story.

Welcome to our furcrazy family

I too lost my golden baby to cancer. Callie was 14.5 yrs old when I lost her to liver cancer. She was my second golden, my third, Champ, is almost 9 and doing wonderfully. (My first girl made it to 16.5 yrs) And I foster for golden rescue, so there is usually another golden in our house

I have never heard of that breed of cat before, pictures please

Welcome!

I've never had a Turkish Van, but know about them and think they are beautiful! Does yours get in the tub with you?:p

Please post pics in our photo section.:)

I am sorry to hear of your loss!

Turkish vans are lovely cats. I do not have one but had an elderly aunt who did. I too would love to see pix of your kitty.

Turkish Vans are suppose to be the most dog like cat. Moody Blue is extremely devoted and affectionate. He is a retired show kitty I got when he was 2 1/2. I had lost my previous Van to cancer. I drove to Baltimore from Weirton, WV to get him. His nickname was Love Bug because of his affectionate nature. They love water and play fetch with a paper wad. Vans will actually retieve a ball of paper and return it to the person to throw again!

I'm trying to learn how to attach pictures!

Turkish Van

I have a 2 year old Turkish Van named Finnegan. He has so much personality and is a very friendly cat. He's extremely soft, doesn't mat, and his fur is sparkling white. He also has one green eye, one blue eye making him look even more unique! He's very funny and 'talks' a lot. He's a great addition to our family and I highly recommend this breed.
