I have a fujifilm S3000 "sudo" SLR camera. You can add all kinds of lens attachments for effects unlike a regular point and shoot. I keep a UV lense on all the time so the pics outside are crisper, and to protect the inside lense from damage.

since everyone is posting pics, here is mine:

I use the Sony Cybershot DSC-U40. Its very very very tiny (fits right in the palm of my hand) - it doesn't have a zoom and its only 2 megapixels!

It is always charged and ready in my handbag - I rarely miss a good photo opt! hahaha

I am looking into buying a better camera for bigger pictures, more scenery etc. . .

I've really gotten into photography since Marty and Minou came along!

I take my pictures at full resolution. . . .

I don't know very much about camera's but this is mine:
Canon PowerShot A75 - sadly only 3.2 mega pixels and a 10x zoom (optical + digital). I loved it when I first got it but now (of course) I want better!!

Thanks for posting a picture of it iRONKNiGHT!
What camera would you get, if you were looking for something better than "a handy cam"??

SnowDancer June 9th, 2005 03:34 PM

A cardboard camera from the drugstore.

GunnerX June 9th, 2005 03:55 PM

Just recently got the Canon SD300 camera. Love it, love the size and the quality of pictures it takes. I also have the SONY DSC F505v which is much larger and only 3.2MP but has a great lens to take good pictures.

I have a cheap Vivitar digi cam that came with a lexmark printer :( . It worked good until my fiance borrowed it for a car race and someone knocked it out of his hand! Ever since then, it doesn't work as good. I also have a 35mm Fuji - used to take awesome pictures, but it's almost 10 years old now and wearing out! It still looks brand new though!!

Someday, when I'm not so poor, I want to get a super duper Camera!!

Writing4Fun June 10th, 2005 09:09 AM

I have a Pentax K1000 that's like a hundred years old (ok, maybe not that old - I think hubby bought it in 1982) and a Nikkon CoolPix 995 that my children think I've had surgically attached to my hand. Great cameras, both of them, and I highly recommend them. The Pentax has gone skiing with hubby (and has fallen down the hillside with him), dirt biking, off-roading, and it barely even has a scratch on it. The CoolPix as well has been through more than I'd care to admit in public, and has survived quite well.

I use a Panasonic DMC FZ20 with 5.1 megapixels and a 35-420 zoom

The image quality has been terrific . . . .

I want Rick's camera!! Right now, I don't have any digi cam, I'm waiting to have enough money to buy one with normal lenses.

I have a Canon Elan 7, the offspring of the old EOS 10 (it died about 4 years ago after about 13 years of faithful service)... My EOS took 10 pic/sec and this one only does 4. I used to take tons of snowboarding shots, so I needed the action feature. Still good with doggies... (I didn't opt for the "E" version that focuses wherever you look... Too much gadgetry for me. :) )

I have a Sigma 28-200, f3.5-5.6 lens. It's on its last legs too (my shots tend to be underexposed and a bit blurry) and it's unnecessarily huge and heavy. One day I'll by a Canon lens... A good one.

I'm a newbie, so you have to forgive me for posting on old threads...

I want Rick's skills with the camera! You have some really nice photos on the site, Rick, and that's a very photogenic, very still doggie you have there. I have the perpetual motion type of dogs--that's my excuse and I'm stickin to it! :o

I have a few cameras---an SLR that I'm pretty crappy with, a 35mm that's good for indoor flash photography but not much else, and a digital...The digital is a Kodak DX7590 that I LOVE and would recommend to just about anyone. With 5 megapix, 10x optical/3x digital zoom (38-380mm equiv) it turns out nice prints and when you disable file compression, makes crisp enlargements. And I still have money in my wallet :highfive:

A very functional camera for the average picture taker with enough bells & whistles to be fun to use--And you can still control aperture and shutter settings, if you choose.

jiorji September 22nd, 2005 12:28 AM

well truth is....it doesn't matter what camera you have. You have to know how to get pictrues out of it. You can have the top pro camera and still take crap pictures. (of course this isn't intended for anyone...honestly) :)

Rick sure does know how to use his photo tools...but well he's got a great backdrop as well adn great models lol

I just got this one, so haven't figured it entirely out (I dropped my old one, a sony cybershot into the St Laurent)
It's a Fuji Fine Pix Z1, and so far it's great

Just got my Olympus E-Volt E300 with 2 Lenses the other day and I'm loving it. I feel like I have to learn how to take pictures all over again though.

Took a quick pic test yesterday in our backyard.

My husband just gave me his digital camera its a Canon powershot G2 a bit of an older model, but still takes good pictures 4mp, it is sort of complicated and I really wanted something simpler. To me this one has to many buttons and takes those 30 second movies as well. He just bought a Nikon not sure what model but it is all black and has a big zoom lens on the front.
