Ottawa Area Dog Boarding

Hi All

We will need to find a boarding facility for our Leonberger in January. I would love a recommendation. He is 11 months and requires alot of human interaction. I worry about him just being put in a cage for a week. have gone to look at one, and he was terrified!
I'm very nervous.
Any suggestions or recommendation are appreciated!
Thanks

My parents dog is/was the same way. Every place he has ever gone, they said "he comes almost vey depressed, won't eat, drink, play and lags on walks. He just lays there and cries." We chalked it up to him being in a cage. Now when my parents go away, we hire someone to look after the house and the dog and he is quite content :)

One of our previous foster dogs' mom uses this place. I'm thinking of vacationing there :D.

Thanks for the replies. I'm checking into a couple now. We did consider hiring a house sitter, but aren't totally comfortable with someone in our home...
I appreciate the responses, hopefully we can still find space @ a place we are comfortable with!
