The Crowne Plaza Hotel Georgia in the heart of Downtown Vancouver opened in 1927, it stands 12 stories tall and is classified as a protected heritage building. While currently undergoing restoration the outside of the building was wrapped in the largest ever produced Canadian Flag :ca:

Holy smokes Growler -- that's wicked. So what's the produced flag made of?

The flag is vinyl, 32 metres high & 64 meters long, here is a time lapse video of the installation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKRy6-xqJKA

Not only is it very  but the heavy vinyl stops any construction debris from falling onto the sidewalks/streets below :)

:sorry: Hazel :o basically what they did is it's divided into 26 columns including the black border, attached at the top to the scaffolding & they tossed it down covering over the sides of the hotel securing it at the bottom. Walking past on the street there are no gaps between the columns, looks like 1 piece :thumbs up

Isn't that cool growler :thumbs up. I was working the first day they were installing and it was super cool to see it going up. The office I work at that day has a great view of the building and it makes me smile to see it :).

I like when they are renovating a building exterior and cover it with a picture replicating what the work will look like. But the flag is pretty cool.
