dental problems

Cat stats
male
10 years old
himalayan

He has already had a couple of teeth removed 2 years ago.
The vet says more teeth need to be removed due to infection.
And one of them being of the front fangs, which I really don't want. It would also destroy his confidence.

What are my options here?

Have you considered a second opinion? If you get two recommendations for the same course of treatment, that might make you feel better about the procedure. If the second vet recommends something else, then you have another option to consider. Either way, it might help you decide what's best for your cat. :thumbs up

Sometimes the cost of the second opinion is worth it for the information it gives you. This doesn't sound like something that can be diagnosed over the internet. We don't know the type or consequences of your dog's infection, or your dog's overall health. Vets can take all those factors into account and give you some solid info in return. So the second opinion might be well worth the $80...especially if you think there may be options your current vet isn't offering.

I found this web site and have no idea how far it from you b/c I live USA .
A veterinary college may be cheaper if have one near you .

I think a second opinion would help ease your mind about your cat ,this way you will know just how bad your cat tooth is .
