Good or bad for filter?

If you seen the older pics of my setup you probably noticed some java moss that has been sucked to the mouth of my filter. Im wondering if this is real bad? I was thinking it may help as it provides another kind of filter, as long as it doesnt restict flow too much. But I could be way off. Better to remove it or let it stay and just keep it thined out?

It won't really have much of an impact on the filter good or bad as long as it doesn't restrict the water flow, and doesn't stop or damage the impeller. You may want to remove it and tie it down to a rock or your driftwood. It will adhere itself to a rock but it needs to be tied down for awhile before this will happen.
I have the same thing happening in the 25g, not so much in the 10g as I have as much moss as possible tied down, stuck under or otherwise attached to any and all surfaces.

Sorry. I should have explained more. The mass of the moss is tied down. Its just a few small fragments that have been sucked in by the filter.

But thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye to it.

It should be OK Scott. Just keep watch that it doesnt start growing in your filter.
