Teeth like needles! Help!

Got our first puppy about three weeks ago. She's a husky/shepherd and full of energy. She constantly bites thinking that you're playing with her. Of course we continually say "No" and have put her in the bathroom for time out. We don't want to discipline with hitting, but she's driving us nuts with the biting! What can I do?

You own a puppy. This is normal but I understand not acceptable. The time-out you are doing is not effective.

You also have a very 'mouthy' breed. Really you should consult with a trainer and go to puppy school.

It's a puppy.

I too have puppy & when she was going throu that phase or playing at all I always Said NO! and handed her her toy. depending on her age she might be teething so lotsa of teething toys or even a wash cloth frozen in the freezer. also helps.

While you're working on the problem, you'll find yourself in a much happier frame of mind if you protect your hands with some bicycle gloves. They cover the palm and the back of the hand, but leave the fingers free. I'll never raise another puppy without a pair or three on hand. :D The gloves always did wonders for my patience. :o
