I'm all for this kind of technology. I wish I was smart enough to be able to build it myself. Anything to reduce the need for oil. Hydro electric bills are also through the roof. All these high costs make the consumer dependent.
We should all be living a free life with more leisure time. Not grinding 'til death like a slave, IMO. Didn't they used to say work loads would be less with better technology? Seems like it's only more and more. Those big companies like Honda are going to make a hefty profit by introducing this technology slow and easy, and not allowing a big push into the market. I think supporting smaller companies is the way to go. Here are a couple more oil/gas-free driving options. http://www.zapworld.com/ These are tiny electric cars. Not very attractive, but useful nonetheless, especially in areas like warehouses, etc. Tesla Motors cars are the best looking electric cars and very sporty. http://www.teslamotors.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOl_1S10jTk Not sure if anyone here knows about new technology being developed now... but scientists are working on solar power abilities being added into regular house paint. http://www.nanogirl.com/museumfuture/solarpaint.htm Just think of the possibilities!! If houses had solar panels, wind generators, and solar house paint... we wouldn't have to rely on hydro electric, coal/steam electric, or nuclear electric. Just plug in our cars at night and they are charged for the next day, ready to go a distance of 245 miles per charge. |
Way to go Honda :thumbs up. I drive an Accord, and our main car is a 10 year old Civic, over 200K, and purrs like a kitten still getting 50mpg.
Can't wait to say good bye to those greedy oil companies.:mwaha: They are leaders in eco friendly manufacturing too: http://www.honda.ca/HondaCorp/en/pdf/Honda2007NAEnviroReport.pdf We need to support companies who are making an effort to clean up our environment. |
Yay Honda! :highfive: I want one. Although, that Tesla is one sexy beast, baby. :lovestruck:
