Help, my 2 poms are fighting...
 

We have 2 Poms (2 years old and 1 year old), both female and spayed, we got the new one when she was 2 months old. They were behaving okay till recently, now they seem to chase each other down the kitchen a lot, when they're together many times they actually stand up and fight (almost like the bears), I had to separate them as they were growling at each other and you can see their teeth - both looks mad!

Before when they would get together, they would nip each other - tail, ear, but after a while they would just play with their own toys! I'm not sure why they're so intense now!

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are they hurting each other? Dog play can be quite noisy, toothy and rough, but still be friendly. Might they still just be playing, only rougher than they used to?

I see no blood or anything like that but they look very tense.

Sometimes it's very hard to tell the difference between aggression and toothy play, especially from descriptions over the internet. If you've seen enough to make you nervous, you might want to consult with a behaviorist to get an objective opinion about what's going on. If nothing else, it may just set your heart at ease--and if there [I]is[/I] a problem, best to catch it early :thumbs up

They both seem alright, few months ago the younger one was spayed, but everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago.

It's kind of hard to describe online the difference between an actual fight and a play fight. Some dogs can seem very aggressive when they're just playing. I think you probably need a behaviorist to assess whether it's serious or not (and even play fighting can elevate if one dog isn't happy with the aggression during play).
The only way I think we could tell is if you could post a video or something.
