Shelter kills family dog by mistake!!!

Unbelievably sad story!! And the person responsible is only "disciplined". Very heart wrenching and maddening!!!

That is so awful, the sad thing is that they said she got disciplined but I am sure she did not. What a pay cut or something small like that. That does not even begin to repay that poor family and that dog! I wonder way the dog was outside during the storm though? (Just a thought)

In the story it said that the poor dog was spooked by the on coming storm and dug underneath the fence while the family was out!!

She was "disciplined", but the dog got the death sentence. I wonder how many other dogs were killed before the 72 hour time limit? She just got caught not following procedures this time.

Then there is the opposite end of the spectrum where workers are trying to stop a dog from being put down.

Goes to show....

It just goes to show that you should not leave your dog outside if you are not going to be home.
I don't mean to sound cruel, and I do understand what has happened, but had their beloved dog been inside the nice comfy house, this never would have happened.

disciplined, ya i'm fully aware of what that means : sent home with pay.
