Holy cats, girl! What are you feeding the lil...urm...big bugger?! 2 feet! Wow! that's quite a growth spurt! :D

He's a gorgeous snake! How long do cornsnakes get?

Luvmypitgirls February 10th, 2009 09:49 PM

Hazel, he is now just shy of 5ft, last pics I posted he was just a smidge over 3ft.
Depending on the resource, I've read that they can grow to 6-6&1/2 ft, and other things I've read have said 5-5&1/2 ft.

He is fed adult mice ( I buy frozen, no live feeding). He also likes bananas:laughing:.

He is a gorgeous snake.:lovestruck:

hazelrunpack February 10th, 2009 10:11 PM

Bananas? I had no idea a snake could even digest a banana! How do you know he likes them? And if you say cuz he lights up afterwards, I'll never believe a word you say again!

Lmao...ummm Hazel, I know because he lights up afterwards!

I assume he does because one day while I was holding him and eating a banana a little piece dropped on my lap, as he slithered about he came across it and he ate it!
Ok, I don't know if he liked it but he did eat it! He didn't spit it out...so I just assume he liked it.

It was just a teeny weeny bit.

hazelrunpack February 11th, 2009 01:09 AM

Oh, okay. :o I was picturing him swallowing and digesting the whole banana, peel and all. :D

So I guess even snakes can have a sweet tooth, eh? Ya learn something every day! :thumbs up

So cute :lovestruck: and my goodness he's grown  :D

I was scrolling down the 2nd pic and I was expecting a loop at the bottom with his head & tail going in opposite directions both up at the top of the pic - then I saw his head & realised he was beside a mirror

 Ok so my mom's fear of snakes has kinda rubbed off on me... just the thought of a 5' snake scares me!!! But he's a real cool colour... and that banana thing is cool, I always thought they were strictly meat eaters.

krdahmer, I think the banana incident was a fluke lol.

krdahmer February 11th, 2009 04:21 PM

Does he purr:confused: ...nope not that I know of lmao.
He is very soft, I love it when he wraps himself around my arms or my neck, thank God he isn't a Boa constrictor (sp).

I enjoy watching LeStat, (that is when he's not inside his rock) it's very relaxing watching him roam around his "house".

He is very nice! Delilah would love him. She is sad she is an only snake I think, since she has been mated before. I bought her as a well handled adult for a first snake. Best decision--she is great.

Gorgeous Bubblegum Snow Corn! I had a baby for a while, when hubby and I owned our exotic pet store. I love corns, miss having them. We've had all sorts of herps, but the corns and balls are my favorites by far!

DRR, Delilah is gorgeous!
