PetSafe Outdoor Bark Control

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on this product. I am considering getting it for my dog..he constantly barks when he is outside.

Works for a while then they just become immune to the noise it emits. :wall:

I've had one for years and it worked on my dogs. They never did get immune to it because I would set it off at the first hint of a bark and they soon got the message that barking wasn't allowed. They spend most of the day indoors but when they do want to stay out I never have a problem anymore, and should one forget I set the anti bark off just once and no barking for the rest of the time they are out. I think they key is to be consistent.

Ermmmm, mine goes off as soon as they bark, it's sound activated. I used it inside to stop the barking as they don't bark outside..... just at street noises.... guess mine don't train the same as others.... but at $200 I don't think it was worth it for me.

Wow...BMDLuver, you paid $200.00?!?! The one that I am looking at is only about $70! I think I may try it and see how it goes, cause I really dont know any other way to control my dogs barking.

Being outside with your dog all the time and immediately correcting him when he starts barking will work with time. If you leave him out by himself all the time you are right. He will bark...... constantly. He is probably bored.

What I did succeed in doing with it was each time it beeped I said NO bark so actually even though they ignore the sound now, they do listen to my No bark command. So maybe in some way it worked?
