I will PM Melinda. She may be able to help you as she has a lot of experience with rescuing wildlife.

That is horrible that the mother was killed! I agree some people have no respect for wildlife and nature.

Oh, baby skunks are so cute! We had a couple here last summer, they were in my yard every night eating my bee's! Fortunately the garden with the bee's is behind a fence so the dogs couldn't get to the skunks, but the tricky part was them coming down the driveway to get to the backyard. Shadow confronted one baby one night, but fortunately it was too surprised to spray her before I caught her and dragged her away. Good luck, I hope you find someone to help you out.

Were you able to find a rehabber, cpietra? :fingerscr

depending on their age, you can feed them partially scrambled eggs....(cute to watch them eat) and maybe give rideau valley wildlife center a call, they're the ones that coach me through everything, and yes...they can spray a wee bit, so be prepared.

oh yeah, the last 3 I rehabbed were sweeties, I had them for 3 weeks then the ministry man came to get them, skunks are very very social critters and females will fight each other to adopt orphaned ones, he took them in a box to our bird sanctuary in Morrisburg at dusk when the skunks come out and tipped the box enough for females to get in but the babies can't get out, when they started crying females came running, he stayed for a few hours to make sure all three were taken in. that was about 12 yrs ago before I discovered the wildlife center.
