papillonmama June 4th, 2007 10:23 PM

If it ever warms up enough we could do a pets and water challenge. For example, ponds, birdbaths, lakes, sprinklers, whatever. Not neccesarily wet, they can be near the water, has to be fair to the kitties. :D

Rainy June 4th, 2007 10:23 PM

Under, around, beside, breaking the table! I'm new to these challenge thingies!

We could do under the table. But that photos from my Mom's house, we don't actually have a table in our house so the on the table stuff would be tough with Molly, I would try and stuff her onto a TV table, might be interesting:eek:
We can do water though, we've got LOTS of water.....
(oops, maybe I should have saved those for the actual challenge:shrug: )

mummummum June 5th, 2007 10:49 AM

I vote for the water theme ~ in it, beside it or under it, consuming it ~ could be in the bath, the swimming pool, local watering hole, after a rainstorm, checking out the birdbath, snorkelling in the toilet, in the aquarium, drinking from a bottle ~ anything goes as long as there is water and an animal in the picture!

How about it ?

Frenchy June 5th, 2007 11:05 AM

Yep , me too , water , near the water ....

So Michelle, it's water , not mud , water , what comes after the mud :D

Hunter's_owner June 5th, 2007 11:06 AM

Yep, water sounds good to me :thumbs up

marko June 5th, 2007 11:37 AM

Water sounds okay for me too...and this way cat people can play :cat: .....

But Ziglet is happier when I'm NOT bothering him with photography...so it's up to y'all.

Once it's decided I can edit the thread title.

Thanks all!

Marko

hazelrunpack June 5th, 2007 09:18 PM

Oh, wait! I forgot about dear departed Evan...he loved to play with the hose. This was the day we celebrated him getting exercise restrictions lifted after his surgery for elbow dysplasia. I turned on the hose and he chased the splash and the spray all over the patio.

He was always somewhat bemused and disappointed when I'd finally turned off the water.

Okay in Rainbow's absence ~ majority rules. So "Water" it is. All species welcome ~ swamped in, dancing around, drinking from ~ clean water, dirty water, toilet water anything goes:D ~ as long as there is water and animals in the same pic ! :thumbs up

marko June 6th, 2007 07:48 AM

And Vick, that is such a pretty cat! :lovestruck: So funny sitting in the sink for a drink!

Wayne, get Beathoven and George to post by the water bowl...inside...next to the toasty warmth of the fireplace. :D

More pics to come after this weekend I'm sure. Baxter is getting a little too curious about the pond.

Cindy

hazelrunpack June 6th, 2007 10:29 PM

LOL, clm! Baxter is such a cutey! Nice, pond, too! :thumbs up So should we start a pool (no pun intended) as to when Baxter finds himself slipping in unexpectedly? The person who makes the guess closest to the actual day, hour, and minute gets a few hugs from the little cutey himself? :thumbs up

Maybe I should ask first--how deep is the pond?!

clm June 6th, 2007 10:48 PM

 Too funny. The pond is over 3 feet deep and I don't think he'd find it too easy to get out of if he went in. Our previous dog only did it once, found he didn't like swimming as his coat weighed him down too much. The hubby had to go in to get him out. We never let the dogs out in the yard unless we're out there with them because of the pond. Have to fence it off in the winter, this breed loves cold and an ice covered pond really attracts them. Had to get our previous dog out after he went through the ice one year, he was fine, but the hubby was pretty cold, we've fenced it off ever since.

brrrrrrr!! A shocking way to spend a winter day!

rainbow June 7th, 2007 01:51 AM

So, I leave for a day and you guys finally agreed on a theme :D .....good choice, I might add. ;) And, I don't even know why I had a say in this.....I don't even have a camera.

Phoenix, great shots of Maia attacking the water. :thumbs up

Vick12, I love the pic of your kitty trying to get water from the faucet. :lovestruck:

clm, no wonder Baxter loves the pond......it's awesome. :cloud9:

marko June 7th, 2007 10:26 AM

Great shots so far everyone! :highfive:

Frenchy June 7th, 2007 11:42 AM

Nice pictures eveeryone ! :thumbs up

happycats June 7th, 2007 11:58 AM

beautiful pic's everyone!!!:)

clm your pond looks awsome!! Baxter should be just fine, as I heard, Keeshond's originate from the netherlands, and were "dock" dogs, always hanging out by the water, so Baxter looks at home in those shots!!:lovestruck:

mummummum June 7th, 2007 07:31 PM
