Johnny Depp Movies

I know, he's gotten so popular lately, but some of us have been following him since the beginning.

Here are the best Johnny Depp movies according to me:
Pirates of the Carribean
Chocolat
Finding Neverland
Dead Man (this is one of the least seen but one of the best) :)
Sleepy Hollow
Benny and Joon
Edward Scissorhands
Don Juan de Marco
Donnie Brasco (a bit graphic)
Blow
Fear and Loathing
Nick of Time
(there are more but this is my list...)

And then of course there will be the Corpse Bride-- directed by Tim Burton-- will surely be nice and weird, and then Charlie and the chocolate factory (by my favorite author...).

Anybody else a fan? I'm surprised it took him so long to get so famous. I guess it took a Disney movie to rocket him up...

I love Johnny Depp, and the quirky and off-beat roles he chooses.

That is a fabulous movie!

LOVE Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood (with an incredible performance by Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi!)

I remember Johnny from his 21 Jumpstreet days!

My younger daughter and I both love Benny and Joon. We recently found it on DVD for $5.00.

I love Johnny as well. I used to watch 21 jump street as well!

My favorite movies of his are Pirates of the Carribean (only because my area of study in archaeolgy was that time period and I lived in the carribean for a while studying it) and the Ninth Gate.

I like Johnny too,he is certainly an original...one of the greats today :thumbs up
He has two beautiful kids with Vanessa Paradise(SP?) french singer/actress.
I like him best in a period movie, when he looks a little rough with long hair :D
The Gilbert movie,Choclate and Benny and Joon,my favorites.
Next to Johnny I like Sean Penn...

I don't think that voice does him justice... Why don't actors to tours? I think he could just stand on a stage and talk about himself for 2 hours and we'd pay $50...

Another cute one is Benny and Joon

I think Donnie Brasco is his best movie...the best mofia movie ever in my opinion...I know "what about The Godfather"...whatever.

I just like how it doesn't glamorize organized crime, but rather tells the story from an insiders point of view...both law enforcement and mob...and it's a true story. Very interesting and entertaining.

Depp's great...probably my favorite male actor...shame a lot of people in the US don't like him because of his anti-war comments about Iraq...so much for free speech. :o

I couldn't even sit threw the god father, so I know what you mean. I saw donnie brasco years ago...don't remember it much.

My fave is still the Ninth Gate. Great film..highly recommended...not for kids though.
