Tooth decay?! Help?!
 

Her foul breath just started a few days ago and she had been licking anything and everything. Even before hand, she has a tendency to whine for attention so her recent cries held little extra attention since she still likes to play once in a while and sleeps more than my cat does...

I initially thought it was bad doggy breath since I hadn't given her a rawhide in a while but even after giving her one, and it didn't help, I knew something was wrong (sorry it took so long to figure it out, she's my first dog I've ever had and she is turning a year old on the 28th of this month). Her underbite is so severe that you can see the bottom of her mouth if you are looking down at her.

I looked up the symptoms and it looks like she has oral decay. She is really fussy if you try to hold her jaw so first few initial glances, her teeth look like they need to be cleaned but overall fine. But then after more persistent tries, I notice her tooth almost at the very back on her right lower jaw looks [I][B][U]'soggy[/U][/B][/I]'?!

I booked an appointment but the earliest is [B][I]next Thursday[/I][/B]!

I looked into the Emergency services but they only offer relief of chocolate consumption and etc. but do not offer any dental surgeries!

[B][I]Can I do anything to ease her pain until then?
And if it's a tooth extraction surgery, how much could it range to?
I'm kicking myself for not seeing it sooner.

She isn't neutered (but will be next month) and weighs about 10 lbs.[/I][/B]

I'm not sure but I think you could spay and do tooth extraction at the same time? Will save you money on the anaesthetics and long term 2 surgeries for the dog to go through. Maybe it's too much I'm not sure, but someone here might know. I have been told that small dogs for some reason have early tooth decay.
