I just finished reading a book called: Redemption: The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No Kill Revolution in America.

This is an amazing book and I highly recommend it. For anyone who disgrees with shelters euthnzing healthy sound animals and how it can be stopped.

The author is Nathan J. Winograd.
