my beta and his bubble nest

just a question in general about my beta. He seems to have built a really good bubble nest at the top of his tank. and he guards it day and night. Is this normal?

do you have a female? the males spit the eggs up into the nest and then take care of them. my parents used to breed them.

i tried breeding them so many times with no outcomes, major PITA

woot yay for happy fish! poor thing though got a bit of a scare apparently this pen i got from disney world makes him poof out like its going to attack him. so no more using my mickey mouse pen

i don't have a female. didn't really want to get one i just have him didn't want to try to breed them. i'm glad he's happy then! he can build away at his bubble nest lol.

MWW, yep, like others mentioned, you have a happy and healthy fish...Males usually build these nests when they are waiting for the females to pop in, so they prepare in advance...LOL...so that is a sure sign that he is happy and healthy.:thumbs up
