We do not celebrate her birthday, on her birthday.
We have Victoria Day the celebration of Victoria Day occurs every year on Monday, prior to May 25th. It is the official celebration in Canada of the birthdays of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II.

it is a BIG party weekend, typically called 'may two four'.

This could lead to an interesting topic.. what days are holidays in Australia? When is your Christmas? (thats been bugging me!)

(Why I can't move to Austalia-- I need a white christmas...)

I like the monarchy too. I think even though they are falling apart, they will always be history alive. They have the blood of the kings and the queens we read about (maybe not DNA-wise but when you consider lineage and history). I know my grandfathers' names and that is it. I don't really have a culture so I live vicariously though the monarchy-- loaded with history, culture and ancestry.
