Posting troubles?

If you are having trouble posting pics, or you want to know how to post pics - your first task should be to read The FAQ in the toolbar at the top of every bulletin board page. Read the section called reading and posting messages.

ADDED - Here is a very clear post on how to resize pics using the free program called Irfanview.

How come some can post 4 pictures in one post and others can't? Is there a specific way to do that?

Would make it far easier than multiple posts.

When there are more than 3 pictures it is because people are providing the pictures' addresses or URL from other sites. (Meaning the images are located/hosted on the OTHER sites' servers)

Although you can upload more than 3 pics, if THEIR address changes in any way (and that does happen) then the addess you put on this site will yield an error and your pics won't show

When you upload a pic directly from your computer it stays put on the Pets.ca servers....but you are right only 3 pics per post. (usually enough for most posters)

hope that helps,

Marko

I'm trying to put pictures in my posts, but there is no option at the bottom of the page "manage attachements"...it also says, "you may not post attachemnets"

why can't I post pictures?

Thanks,

Newbies have to wait about 36 hours and post a few times before they can post pics. This helps the forum with spammers.

That said ANY newbie at anytime can PM me or contact me USING CORRECT EMAIL FORMATTING)at marko( a T) pets (D o T)ca and it's more than my pleasure to help ASAP so that you don't have to wait the 36 hours.

mandynor - you can now post pics.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Marko

resizing still doesnt make the picture small enough.

Hey I've posted many pictures here before and have used the Irfanview technique for resizing with great success. But since I got my new camera (10 megapixel ) even when i resize them down they are still close to a meg in size do i have any other options for posting? can i insert a link or something?
Thanks
