Westminister Dog show

Anyone see it?

I was so ticked the Standard Poodle won for Non sporting Breed!

Like it seems so unfair that here is this dog with this fancy hair cut and the rest were all natural! I really like the Long haired Chiwawa. What a cutey.

Tonight is the Sorting and herding dogs. I'm pulling for the Border Collie lol! Oh and the Shepard. I hope the Poodle doesn't take best in show though :(

Poop I missed the first part.

What time and channel?

The last time I watched it,we got to vote 30 mins before it ended.

The dogs I picked,except for 2 won.:D

I THOUGHT IT is on tonight? :(

Carina February 10th, 2004 01:43 PM

Last night & tonight. Tonight is...sporting & herding...? And then best in show.
I watched the Working group last night..wasn't impressed with the Rottweiler but the little Dobergirl was beautiful!
It's on the USA network down here. :)

He is a gorgeous Nefie.

I remember my aunts nefie Lady.Jet black and a beauty.Like Josh.:D

mona_b February 11th, 2004 12:15 AM

Oh and there were 2 canadians...

The Gordon Setter from Milton.Near me.And a dachshund in I think it's Cunnington.

LavenderRott February 11th, 2004 12:23 AM

I really wanted the corgi to win but was quite happy that it wasn't the peke or the poodle.

amaruq February 11th, 2004 08:59 AM

Josh was gorgeous wasn't he! His coat was something else!
Didn't like the peke as it looked like a live hairball EEEEKKKKK!
Poodle was alright. Corgi was a spit fire! I forget the others :(

I didn't get to watch it, but of course they had the winner on the news this morning. What a beautiful doggy! Just want to snuggle up with him on a cold winter day, in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate!

I didn't watch it, but whats so bad about the Poodle winning? I'm sure the judges chose fairly.

mona_b February 11th, 2004 02:09 PM

I was also amazed that the judge for the last group, the herding,is a vet in Toronto. That was kewl.

Also, just incase no one knew. But the Judge for the best in show doesn't see the dogs that are up for best in show.He does know the breeds that are picked though.

Spoiled, you should have seen Josh.He was perfect. His stride, stand, everything. The crowd went nuts with him.I actually got goosebumps.LOL

I used to go to the dog shows years ago when they had them at the Queen Elizabeth Building at the C.N.E.Then they had them at the SkyDome.

I know I can say this with you guys, that is where I got my first GSD.Who I had for 13 years.I went back to her and got Yukon and Tron. She is amazing. So are her dogs. She has retired not to long ago.She has cancer and is not doing to well.So the family is focusing on her now.She is an amazing lady. And her dogs are amazing.I had/have 3 of them.:)

Luba February 11th, 2004 04:55 PM

GOoooooooooooooooooooooo NEWF!!!!

I'm so happy the Newf won, really really happy about that :D

Spoiled February 11th, 2004 06:16 PM

Ok then I'm glad the "Josh" did win!

amaruq February 12th, 2004 09:47 AM

I have nothing against Poodles but I think the cut is so un-natural......I worry that the judge might be influenced by the cut and not the dog. i was bothered that the dog kept yawning...like a huge large yawn....it had no spark.
