cat with hard belly
I have a 15 year old cat. She is unspayed, totally house cat. Domestic short hair. very tiny frame, but has always been over weight since she grew out of kittenhood. My question is why is her belly hard, not soft blubber like other overweight cats. And her skin is tight not loose like most cats. Hope someone will know something about this. Waiting to hear. Thanx :fingerscr

Please get your cat to a vet asap. A cat can have numerous health issues including various cancers associated with being unspayed. We can't answer your questions. A vet can. Good luck and let us know. :fingerscr

I understand what you mean, I have a couple of overweight cats, and one is mushy, the other seems to be hard, the vet says it's just different body types. At your cat's age though she should be going for regular check ups and senior testing, are you doing that?

unspayed cat
:laughing:lol that just shows that every cat is different. She is clean and well mannered and doesn't cause alot of fuss unless it is for food. She still came into heat now and then but only acted silly. no wailing or spraying. She's a good girl.

Guess I misunderstood. The way it was worded made me think it was a recent happening. |
