More TTouch

What is TTouch you ask? Well, it is a gentle and respectful series of Touches, Lifts and Slides that helps your animal to calm, it helps to ease pain, it helps to build confidence. It is relaxing for your animal and for you. Check out Youtube there are so many videos that will pique your interest.

This video is what TTouch may do for your animals. What a brave dog!

If you need to calm your dog or cat, if they are injured and possibly going into shock, you can do ear work. Gentle clockwise circles on the ears with your thumb and fingers, slides down the ear, gentle hair pulls, imagine sliding your fingers through your hair, don't "drop" the hair go to the end and slide off. I believe in the above video she shows some ear work.

This is very interesting stuff, patti. One of our vets is getting into some of the less traditional therapies--I'll have to ask her if there's a TTouch practitioner nearby...

Hazel, TTouch is a very valuable tool to use. I have seen some cats start eating again, dogs that were overly excitable calm down enough that they could learn something.

Sasha asks for TTouch every morning before we get out of bed. It helps with sore muscles.

Bummer....only two and both too far away to be practical. :( I'll still run it by our vet, though. Thanks, Patti.

The road trip is getting more and more elaborate! Okay, I'll add Edmonton, and then we'll pick up Rgeurts, too! I better get the mobile home out of storage. :p

Oh for sure we have to pickup Rgeurts, she just lives down the road on the way to the mountains to Vancouver the final destination. :D:goodvibes:
